Design Engineer – Steam Turbines

As a world leader in developing and producing the most advanced engineering technologies we improve lives and further human achievements worldwide while also protecting the climate - all thanks to our employees With us you can do something significant that benefits society and human progress Your new role - challenging and future-oriented Your new role - exciting and future-oriented Extensive knowledge of steam turbine design turbine rotor casings blades gland seal components bolting bearings pedestals steam valves etc Support field service team and customer queries in urgent forced outage recovery programs Support field service team during planned outages including standard solutions specific solutions and troubleshooting Generate and release detailed engineering drawings 3D models and bills of materials BOMs Perform form fit and function studies to ensure design integrity and compatibility Evaluate non-conformance reports NCRs and define corrective actions Experience in root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing field service and other stake holders Interpersonal skills both written and verbal for the English language ability to work in a global team environment We don t need superheroes just super minds Bachelor s Master s degree in Mechanical or Production engineering 12 to 16 years of engineering or manufacturing experience preferably in Turbomachinery domain Significant hands-on experience in designing software like NX Pro-E and AutoCAD etc Knowledge of SAP product module and Teamcenter Ability to work independently with minimal guidance or direction Ability to coordinate directly with field service manufacturing quality and network partners Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Ability to make quick informed decisions on a regular basis Ability to manage multiple manufacturing issues projects and deadlines Flexibility to travel as required by the projects and customers Familiarity with steam turbine products or repair methods for major components Knowledge of industry standards ASME ISO DIN We ve got quite a lot to offer How about you We re Siemens A collection of over 379 000 minds building the future one day at a time in over 200 countries We re dedicated to equality and we welcome applications that reflect the diversity of the communities we work in All employment decisions at Siemens are based on qualifications merit and business need Bring your curiosity and imagination and help us shape tomorrow
