Profile: Accountant Experience: 15 Years Location: Chandigarh Job Summary We are looking for a highly experienced Accountant with 15+ years of expertise in Indian accounting standards to manage end-to-end finance operations, statutory compliance, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of Indian taxation laws (GST, TDS, Income Tax, etc.), Companies Act, and Indian GAAP, with proven leadership skills in managing teams and ensuring accurate financial control. Key Responsibilities - Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliation, Cash Flow Management, and Ledger Maintenance. - Prepare and finalize financial statements, Profit & Loss Accounts, and Balance Sheets as per Indian GAAP. - Manage GST compliance including return filing (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9), input tax credit reconciliation, and handling GST audits. - Ensure accurate TDS deduction, deposit, and filing of returns (Form 24Q, 26Q) as per Income Tax rules. - Handle Income Tax compliance, including advance tax calculations, tax audits, and liaison with tax authorities. - Manage Payroll processing, including PF, ESI, PT, Gratuity and other statutory obligations. - Coordinate with external auditors for statutory, internal, and tax audits. - Prepare and monitor budgeting, forecasting, and MIS reports for management decision-making. - Ensure compliance with Companies Act, FEMA, ROC filings, and other applicable Indian laws. - Implement internal controls, cost-saving measures, and process improvements. - Supervise and mentor junior accountants, ensuring timely and accurate work completion. Qualifications & Skills - Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com/M.Com). - 15+ years of accounting experience with strong exposure to Indian accounting standards and tax laws. - Hands-on experience in Tally ERP, SAP, Busy, or other Indian accounting software. - Excellent knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, ROC filings, PF, ESI, and other statutory compliances. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and team management skills. - Ability to handle tax assessments, audits, and government inquiries independently. - Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting.
