Job Description Senior Network Administrator Role Summary: The Senior Network Administrator is responsible for the design, implementation, management, and optimization of the organization's network infrastructure. This role ensures high availability, security, and performance across firewalls, routing and switching platforms, load balancers, WAN optimization devices, and wireless networks. Key Responsibilities: Network Administration & Support oManage, configure, and optimize routers, switches, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, etc.). oMaintain secure and efficient firewall policies with Strong knowledge of Palo Alto. oAdminister F5 Load Balancers (LTM, GTM) including VIP configurations, SSL offloading, iRules, and traffic distribution policies. oMonitor and maintain Riverbed WAN optimization solutions to enhance application performance across distributed environments. oOversee enterprise wireless networks (Extreme, Aruba, or equivalent) ensuring coverage, security, and performance. Security & Compliance oImplement and enforce network security policies and procedures. oPerform periodic audits and vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance. oSupport incident response and troubleshooting for network security events. Monitoring & Troubleshooting oUtilize monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, etc.) to ensure network health and availability. oTroubleshoot complex network issues across LAN, WAN, WLAN, and Data Center environments. oProvide escalation support for critical network outages. Documentation & Projects oMaintain detailed documentation of network diagrams, configurations, and procedures. oLead and support network infrastructure upgrade and migration projects. oCollaborate with cross-functional IT teams for cloud, security, and application integration. Required Skills & Qualifications: oBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. o58+ years of progressive experience in network administration/engineering. oHands-on expertise in: oFirewall technologies (Palo Alto). oRouting & Switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, VLANs, QoS). oF5 Load Balancers (LTM, GTM, ASM). oRiverbed WAN optimization. oWireless networking (Extreme, Aruba, or equivalent). oStrong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, MPLS, and network segmentation. oFamiliarity with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible) is a plus. oRelevant certifications preferred (CCNP/CCIE, F5-CA/CTS, NSE, CWNP, Riverbed RCSA/RCSP). Soft Skills: oStrong analytical and problem-solving skills. oExcellent communication and documentation abilities. oAbility to work independently and mentor junior staff. oStrong project management and time management skills.
