Job Description: Network Engineer (FireMon Experience) Company: NextGen Identity Experience: 5+ Years Location: Remote Availability: Immediate Joiners Preferred About the Role Next-Gen Identity is looking for a skilled Network Engineer with strong expertise in FireMon and network security operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and securing enterprise network environments while contributing to our security and identity-focused solutions. Key Responsibilities - Design, implement, and maintain secure enterprise network infrastructures. - Manage and optimize firewall policies using FireMon for visibility, compliance, and rule analysis. - Perform regular network security audits, policy reviews, and risk assessments. - Troubleshoot complex network issues across firewalls, routers, switches, and VPNs. - Collaborate with security, IAM, and cloud teams to ensure secure integration across environments. - Monitor network performance and ensure high availability of critical systems. - Work on network automation, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Required Skills & Experience - 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Network Engineer. - Strong experience with FireMon Security Manager (policy analysis, rule cleanup, compliance checks). - Deep understanding of firewalls (Palo Alto, Check Point, Fortinet, Cisco ASA, etc.). - Proficiency in routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs). - Experience with VPN technologies, network segmentation, and zero-trust principles. - Familiarity with network security best practices and compliance frameworks. - Experience in automation (Python, Ansible) is a plus. - Strong analytical, documentation, and troubleshooting skills. Good to Have - Exposure to IAM or cybersecurity environments. - Experience working in identity-centric or security-focused organizations. - Relevant certifications (CCNP, PCNSE, FireMon certifications, etc.).
