Supply Chain Management (AWS_SCM) systems are at heart of ensuring that we can provide our customers with the right computing services, in the right region, at the right time The SC.os team is responsible for building the end-to-end supply chain automation that enable control of our global footprint for our hyper-growth cloud computing.

As a technical leader on the team, you will be responsible guiding your team through the design, development, testing, and deployment of a range of products. In addition, you will help build the roadmaps for software teams working with stakeholders.

We are looking for an experienced technical manager who is excited about building industry leading distributed systems in the Supply Chain domain. You will be part of the team that architects, designs, and implements highly scalable distributed systems that provide availability, scalability and latency guarantees. This is a hands on technology position. You need to not only be a top software manager with a good track record of delivering, but also excel in communication, leadership and customer focus. This is a unique and rare opportunity to get in on the ground floor and help shape the supply chain software, product and business. A successful candidate will bring deep technical and software expertise and ability to work within a fast moving, startup environment in a large company to deliver solid code that has a broad business impact.

About The Team

The Supply Chain Operating System (SC.os) organisation is responsible for automating and optimising all supply chain processes for building the AWS cloud infrastructure. We are building a new generation suite of supply chain management(AWS_SCM) services which can automate and optimize supply chain planning, budgeting, procurement, catalog, vendor management and managing the lifecycle of physical data center resources such as physical space, power and network capacity. Basic Qualifications

- 3+ years of engineering team management experience with 7+ years of engineering experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and live site operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
