An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced individual to join NHS Golden Jubilee as Deputy Director of Heart, Lung and Diagnostics

NHS Golden Jubilee incorporates the Golden Jubilee Univerity National Hospital, Research Institute, Conference Hotel and Innovation Centre. As Scotlands flagship health facility, the Golden Jubilee Univerity National Hospital specialises in cardiothoracic, orthopaedic and ophthalmic surgery as well as interventional and diagnostic cardiology. It is also the Scottish centre for heart transplantation and for patients with congenital cardiac and pulmonary vascular issues. A major diagnostic imaging centre, the hospital also has one of the largest concentrations of intensive care beds in the UK.

NHS Golden Jubilee is committed to delivering high quality care and needs a Deputy Director of Heart, Lung and Diagnostic Services who has vision, role models the organisations values, has demonstrable experience of collective, collegiate working and decision making and is able to develop positive relationships. The right person will play a key role in ensuring we continue to deliver safe, effective, person centred care for our patients.

The successful candidate will support the implementation and delivery of the Boards National, Regional and Local service strategies to benefit the whole of NHS Scotland (NHSS), with specific responsibility for ensuring the supportive and responsive day-to-day and strategic operational management of the Heart, Lung and Diagnostic Services Division.

In addition, they will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of a full range of performance targets.
