Role Description This is a full-time role for a Data Modeler, to be based in India with short term travel assignments to onsite locations in UAE/Saudi Arabia/Oman/Qatar for some of our esteemed overseas clients. Responsibilities: - Enhance and maintain client’s Unified Data Model (UDM) by expanding entities, refining business definitions, and ensuring alignment with evolving analytical and operational needs. - Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models across banking domains, ensuring adherence to enterprise data architecture and governance standards. - Build and optimize the Semantic Layer in Microsoft SSAS, including measures, KPIs, hierarchies, and calculations supporting dashboards and analytical use cases. - Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and validate model outputs - Work closely with Data Engineering teams to implement models on Cloudera CDP, defining transformations and data structures required for downstream consumption. - Maintain comprehensive metadata, lineage, and documentation, fully aligned with the Enterprise Business Glossary and Data Governance framework. - Ensure data quality and consistency, defining DQ rules and validating CDE accuracy across UDM and semantic layer objects. - Optimize data structures, queries, and SSAS models for performance, scalability, and analytical efficiency. - Provide guidance and support to BI, Data Science, and Governance teams on model usage, consumption, and best practices. - Promote continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to simplify models, eliminate redundancy, and enhance usability Experience Required: - 4-7 years of hands-on experience in Data Modeling and Data Governance is a MUST. - Domain: Retail and Corporate Banking domain experience is MUST. Key Skills: - Database Design: Conceptual, logical and physical modeling (schemas, tables, relationships). - Semantic Layer Design: Logical and physical modeling as per business functions within Retail & Corporate Banking - Data Warehousing: Designing data warehouses, star/snowflake schemas, ETL processes. - Modern Data Modeling: Data Mesh, Fabric, LakeHouse, etc - Modeling Tools: Experience with ER/Studio, ERwin, PowerDesigner, Visio. - Data Integration: Understanding data flow and ETL pipelines. - Integrate data from structured and unstructured sources including big data platforms. - Collaborate with data architects and analysts to define mapping specifications and business rules. Qualifications: Generic: - Immediate joiners needed. (Within max 30 days) - Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and experience in interaction with overseas clients is preferred. - Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Computer Science or a related field preferred) Soft Skills: - Strong written and verbal communication in English. - Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a dynamic environment. - Proactive, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused with a collaborative attitude. Salary Range: - INR 10-22 Lakhs CTC - Overseas travel allowances extra
