Assistant to Virtual CFO

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented finance professional to assist the Virtual CFO in managing the complete financial ecosystem for our client. The ideal candidate will have sound knowledge of accounting, taxation, compliances, MIS reporting, and business analysis, and should be capable of handling client coordination independently.

You will work closely with the Virtual CFO to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with statutory requirements, cash flow monitoring, and strategic business insights for decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Management & Reporting

Prepare, review, and maintain books of accounts in accordance with applicable accounting standards.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual MIS reports, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow statements, and variance analysis.

Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring key financial KPIs.

Ensure timely reconciliation of bank accounts, vendor accounts, and receivables.

2. Compliance & Taxation

Assist in GST, TDS, Income Tax, and ROC-related compliances.

Coordinate with auditors for statutory, tax, and internal audits.

Maintain proper documentation for compliance and regulatory filings.

3. Cash Flow & Treasury Management

Prepare weekly cash flow statements and funding requirement projections.

Monitor client's payables and receivables to ensure healthy liquidity.

4. Strategic & Business Support

Provide analytical support for strategic decision-making.

Assist in preparing investor presentations, pitch decks, and financial models.

Support in cost control and profitability improvement initiatives.

5. Client Communication & Coordination

Act as the first point of contact for client queries related to finance.

Coordinate with internal teams, external consultants, and banks on behalf of the Virtual CFO.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education: B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / CMA Inter / MBA (Finance).

Experience: 3–6 years in accounting, financial reporting, and compliance.

Technical Skills:

Sound knowledge of accounting principles and taxation laws (GST, Income Tax, TDS).

Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar).

Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modelling.

Soft Skills:

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Attributes

Prior experience working with a CA firm or in a CFO services setup.

Understanding of corporate finance, fundraising processes, and investor relations.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
