We are hiring on behalf of a leading renewable energy company for the position of Lead Design Engineer - Civil Role Lead Design Engineer - Civil Location Chennai WFO Years Experiences 8 Years Job Outline Good knowledge in Civil Engineering aspect of solar power plant design like Module mounting structure its foundation RCC buildings and its foundation steel structural and its analysis drain equipment mounting pole its foundation review of equipment drawing for its platform building requirements etc along with preparation of specifications for tender and detail engineering works for both ground based and rooftop solar power plant Duties and Responsibilities Conduct civil engineering works of solar power plant to deliver on-time and high-quality outputs for tender and detail engineering for solar power plant Interaction with internal and external stakeholder for engineering approvals Preparation of plan of action for respective tender and operating project Ability to manage a team and deliver results is also expected Main responsibilities shall be as below 1 Preparation submission of pre bid queries 2 Preparation submission of Master drawing list its update 3 Preparation submission of Module mounting structure weight estimate and its foundation quantities 4 Preparation submission of design basis for project 5 Preparation submission of site specific investigation scope requirements like Geotech topography etc 6 Review and submission of Geotech topography hydrology reports among others 7 Preparation submission equipment foundation drawings 8 Preparation submission land development works like grading leveling cutting filling etc 9 Site survey for land identified for solar power plant 10 Preparation submission of RCC building design and drawings for superstructure indoor trench and associated civil design works 11 Review submission of overall layout equipment layouts room layout etc 12 Preparation submission of drain design drawings 13 Preparation submission of overhead or underground water tank design drawings 14 Preparation submission of Bill of Quantities 15 Preparation submission of associated works like foundation for pole mounted 16 equipment fencing gate other equipment foundation like security room watch tower 17 OHL line 18 Preparation review coordination of inputs with electrical engineering team for foundation and structure design works 19 Review submission of vendor drawings 20 Checking of Quality Assurance Plan of Vendors 21 Familiarity with national and international code like IS BS ASCE ASTM among others 22 Simulation works using software like Stadd pro AutoCad Civil 3D other relevant tools 23 Exposure to optimization tools is desirable Education qualification 1 Minimum BE B Tech in Civil Engineering post-graduation in structural engineering or in any associated field is desirable Work Experience 1 Minimum 8 years of experience in Design Engineering of solar power plant civil design 2 Experience in switchyard civil design is desirable
