Role Overview

We are looking for highly skilled Backend Engineers (SDE-2 / SDE-3) who are passionate about solving complex problems and thrive at the intersection of AI and Cybersecurity.

You will be responsible for designing and building scalable, secure, and resilient backend systems that power our next-generation cyber risk and security products.

This role is ideal for problem solvers who enjoy working with large-scale systems, cloud platforms, and cutting-edge AI models to create real-world impact.

Key Responsibilities

Backend Architecture & Development

- Design, develop, and optimize scalable backend services and APIs in Java and Python.
- Build fault-tolerant microservices for data ingestion, analysis, and automation.
- Collaborate with AI teams to integrate ML/AI models into security solutions.

Cloud & Infrastructure

- Architect and implement backend systems on AWS (ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS/DynamoDB, S3).
- Ensure high availability, observability, and cost-efficiency in cloud-native systems.
- Implement infrastructure best practices (CI/CD pipelines, containerization, monitoring).

Cybersecurity & Compliance

- Embed security-by-design into backend services—secure coding, encryption, IAM.
- Work with security teams to integrate vulnerability scanning, logging, and compliance automation.

Collaboration & Ownership

- Collaborate with frontend, AI/ML, and security teams to ship end-to-end features.
- Take ownership of critical modules, from design to deployment and monitoring.
- Mentor junior engineers (SDE-3) and contribute to improving engineering culture.

Key Skills & Qualifications

- Strong proficiency in Java and Python for backend development.
- Deep understanding of AWS services (compute, storage, networking, security).
- Strong problem-solving and system design skills.
- Experience with microservices, REST/gRPC APIs, and event-driven architectures.
- Solid knowledge of databases (SQL and NoSQL) and data modeling.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts and secure coding practices.
- Hands-on with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform/CDK.

Experience Levels

SDE-2:

- 3–5 years of backend development experience.
- Proven ability to independently deliver features with quality and performance.
- Strong coding and debugging skills, with some exposure to system design.

SDE-3:

- 6+ years of backend development experience.
- Strong expertise in system design, scalability, and architecture.
- Ability to lead projects, mentor engineers, and set coding/architecture standards.

Preferred Qualifications

- Exposure to AI/ML integration in production systems.
- Experience in cybersecurity products (SIEM, SOC automation, Email Security, etc.).
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA).
- Open-source contributions or publications in security/AI domains.
