Job Description
- This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills to drive profitability, optimize operations, and expand market presence.
- Responsible for leading and managing the sales team to achieve company sales targets and objectives.
- The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the almond industry, knowledge of dry nuts including procurement, sales, market trends, and financial management.
Duties and responsibilities
- Business Strategy & P&L Management:Develop and execute strategies to achieve profitability, optimize revenue streams, and manage costs effectively.
- Sales Forecasting:Develop and manage sales forecasts and budgets, and analyze sales performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Client Relationship Management:Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders, and oversee the management of key accounts.
- Market Analysis:Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and pricing dynamics to stay ahead in the market.
- Reporting:Prepare and present regular sales reports, including performance metrics, sales forecasts, and market insights, to senior management.
- Training and Development:Provide training and support to sales team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to succeed.
- Sales & Market Expansion:Identify growth opportunities, expand distribution channels, and build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Procurement & Supply Chain:Oversee sourcing strategies, maintain quality standards, and ensure a seamless supply chain.
- Operational Excellence:Streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business success.
- Stakeholder Management:Engage with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to foster strong partnerships and ensure business alignment.
- Compliance & Risk Management:Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines, mitigate risks, and maintain high ethical standar
Qualifications
Qualifications include:
- Experience:Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales management, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing successful sales teams.
- Education:Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- Skills:Strong analytical, negotiation, leadership skills, Excellent communication and decision-making abilities.
- Technical Proficiency:Proficiency with excel, sap software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Personal Attributes:Results-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
Working conditions
This is an office-based role with occasional meetings with clients and factory visits as required.
