Librarian Organization Mamta Institute of Education Daraundha Siwan Location Daraundha Siwan Job Type Full-time Schedule Day shift Duties and Responsibilities Library Management Work in alignment with the objectives of the College Library to ensure smooth operations Build and organize various sections of the library by anticipating the needs of students and faculty implementing the latest trends in Library Science and Information Technology User Assistance Serve students faculty and other library users to assist them in accessing the required library materials and information Issue library cards to students at the time of admission and conduct orientation on library facilities and usage Issue library resources to staff and students maintaining accurate records of transactions Database and Inventory Management Update the library database regularly upon the purchase of new books and assign appropriate accession numbers Carry out stock verification and record book losses periodically as required by the Department of Higher Education DHE and report to the Principal or higher authorities Organize the collection and acquisition of new library materials as per requirements Reporting and Budgeting Prepare and submit budget proposals and reports to higher authorities or the Principal Discipline and Professional Conduct Maintain discipline within the library premises to create a conducive study environment Uphold professional conduct by respecting staff and students and cooperating with authorities Additional Duties Perform any other duties as assigned by higher authorities or the Principal Qualifications and Experience Minimum of 2 years of experience in library management or a related role preferred Degree BLIS MLIS or Diploma in Library Science or equivalent qualification Proficiency in Library Science and Information Technology Good communication and interpersonal skills Skills Required Library management and organization Database and inventory management Strong communication and teamwork Knowledge of modern library practices and technologies Attention to detail and discipline Job Type Full-time Pay 15 000 00 - 20 000 00 per month Ability to commute relocate Siwan Bihar Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work Preferred Experience librarian 2 years Preferred Work Location In person
