Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior BI Engineer with deep expertise in Power BI and semantic data modeling, coupled with a strong foundation in data warehousing, SQL, and modern BI platforms. This role involves designing scalable BI solutions, collaborating cross-functionally to drive data-driven decisions, and leveraging Power Platform and Generative AI to modernize analytics and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and implement end-to-end Power BI solutions, including complex semantic data models.
- Develop and optimize Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to support key business decisions.
- Work closely with business analysts and BI leads to enhance business metrics and improve customer experience.
- Lead migration efforts from legacy reporting systems to modern Power BI architecture.
- Integrate with Power Platform tools like Power Automate and Power Apps for process automation and enriched BI functionality.
- Utilize Generative AI (GenAI) and best practices to streamline reporting workflows and unlock deeper analytical insights.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries across databases such as Oracle, MySQL, DB2, Snowflake, and Databricks.
- Apply strong data analysis methodologies to solve business problems and present insights effectively.
- Operate independently or as part of a collaborative team, contributing ideas and solutions proactively.

Technical Skills & Qualifications

Experience Required:4 to 6 Years

Education: BE / B.Tech / MCA / M.Tech / M.Com

Must-Have:

- Expert in Power BI, with proven experience in semantic modeling and DAX.
- Proficiency in writing advanced SQL queries and working with large datasets.
- Hands-on experience with databases like Oracle, MySQL, DB2, Databricks, or Snowflake.
- Familiarity with Power Platform tools: Power Automate, Power Apps.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and BI architecture.
- Exposure to Generative AI tools and their integration with BI platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and capable of identifying improvement areas proactively.

Good to Have:

- Certification in Power BI or other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik).
- Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Exposure to AI/ML concepts and their application in BI/analytics.
- Knowledge of scripting languages like Python, Shell, or Perl.
