Job Category Data Engineering Job Summary The Data Quality Analyst is responsible for assessing analyzing and improving the quality of data across Chubb This role involves working closely with data SME IT and business teams to identify data quality issues perform root cause analysis and implement corrective measures The Data Quality Analyst will also monitor data quality metrics and support the maintenance of data governance standards Key Responsibilities 1 Data Quality Assessment Analysis - Perform regular data quality assessments to identify issues related to data accuracy completeness consistency and timeliness - Analyze large datasets to detect data quality problems such as duplicates missing data and inconsistencies - Conduct root cause analysis to identify the underlying reasons for data quality issues 2 Data Quality Improvement - Work with data SME and IT teams to implement data cleansing data standardization and other data quality improvement processes - Recommend and implement corrective actions to resolve data quality issues - Assist in the development and implementation of data quality rules and standards 3 Data Monitoring Reporting - Start to build data quality metrics and KPIs to ensure ongoing data quality - Create and maintain dashboards and reports that provide visibility into data quality status and trends - Provide regular updates to stakeholders on data quality findings and progress 4 Collaboration Support - Collaborate with business units to understand their data quality requirements and address specific data-related challenges - Support data governance initiatives regulatory requirements by ensuring data quality standards are adhered to - Provide support and guidance to other team members on data quality best practices 5 Documentation - Document data quality issues processes and resolutions - Maintain documentation of data quality rules procedures and standards Qualifications Key Skills and Qualifications Education - Bachelor s degree in computer science Information Technology Data Management Statistics or a related field Experience - 6-8 years of experience in data analysis data quality management or data governance in Insurance or similar finance industry - Experience working with large datasets and relational databases e g SQL - Experience with data quality tools e g Informatica Qliksense PowerBI Skills - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets - Proficiency in SQL and experience with data querying and reporting - Familiarity with data governance principles and best practices - Attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and reliability - Good communication skills to convey data quality issues and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders - Experience with data visualization tools e g Tableau Power BI is an advantage Certifications - Certifications in Data Management Data Quality or related fields e g CDMP IQCP are advantageous but not required Personal Attributes - Detail-oriented with a commitment to ensuring high data quality - Ability to work independently and within a team - Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously - A proactive approach to identifying and solving data-related issues
