Job Description: Siebel Developer

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Siebel Developer to join our dynamic team. The Siebel Developer will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of Siebel CRM solutions. This individual will work closely with business analysts, architects, and other stakeholders to build and maintain Siebel applications that meet business requirements and improve overall user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

- Siebel Application Development: Design, develop, and configure Siebel CRM applications based on user requirements. Ensure customizations, integrations, and extensions are performed according to best practices.
- Siebel Tools: Utilize Siebel Tools for creating and modifying business components, business services, applets, workflows, and integration objects.
- Customizations &; Enhancements: Customize Siebel CRM based on business requirements by creating new business components, workflows, and UI elements.
- Siebel Integration: Design and implement Siebel integrations with other systems (e.g., ERP, databases, and third-party applications) using various methods such as EAI (Enterprise Application Integration), Web Services, and Java/REST APIs.
- Troubleshooting &; Performance Tuning: Diagnose and resolve Siebel application-related issues, including performance optimization and bug fixing.
- Testing &; Quality Assurance: Ensure high-quality software development through unit testing, integration testing, and support of UAT (User Acceptance Testing).
- Documentation: Prepare technical documentation related to Siebel developments, customizations, and configurations. Maintain detailed records for troubleshooting and auditing purposes.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and other developers to ensure projects are delivered on time and meet business requirements.
- Support &; Maintenance: Provide ongoing support for Siebel applications, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements as needed.
- Upgrade &; Migration: Participate in Siebel application upgrades, ensuring that new features are leveraged, and customizations are compatible with newer Siebel versions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience with Siebel CRM, Siebel Tools, Siebel Web Tools, and Siebel Open UI.
- Technical Expertise:

- Proficiency in Siebel configuration, customization, and integration.

- Strong experience with Siebel eScript, Workflows, and Business Services.

- Experience in Siebel Integration with third-party systems using EAI, REST, SOAP, and Web Services.

- Knowledge of Siebel Architecture, Data Models, and Siebel Object Types.

- Languages &; Tools:

- Strong skills in Siebel eScript, JavaScript, and XML.

- Familiarity with database management systems like Oracle or SQL Server.

- Proficiency in Siebel workflow, assignments, and scripting.

- Business &; Analytical Skills: Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into Siebel CRM configurations and customizations.
- Troubleshooting: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify and resolve Siebel-related issues in a timely manner.
- Version Control: Experience using version control systems (e.g., SVN, Git) for Siebel development.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with Siebel CRM in industries such as Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, or Field Service.
- Siebel CRM certification or relevant professional certifications.
- Experience with Siebel Mobile applications or Siebel Open UI.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

Education &; Certification:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Siebel CRM certifications are a plus.
