About the role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Workday Technical Engineer with deep expertise in the Workday platform and strong technical knowledge of its underlying components. This role focuses on Workday Financialsnot integrations or EIB-focused workrequiring someone who can optimize, extend, and support complex Workday Financials configurations while partnering closely with Finance stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of Workday architecture, Workday Financials modules (Procurement, Accounting, Projects, Expenses, Supplier Accounts, Business Assets, etc.), Workday Business Process Framework (BPF), security configuration, custom reporting, and Workday Extend.

What You'll Do:

- Own Workday Financials technical design and configuration, ensuring alignment with business requirements and scalable enterprise processes.
- Deliver complex Workday Financials projects, driving them from solution design through configuration, testing, and production deployment.
- Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, Accounting, and Technical teams to analyze, design, and implement solutions across modules like Procurement, Supplier Accounts, Banking & Settlement, Projects, and Business Assets.
- Design and optimize business processes (BPF), security roles, condition rules, and approval flows to support enterprise-level financial operations.
- Create and maintain advanced custom reports, dashboards, and analytics using Workday Report Writer, calculated fields, and Workday Prism (if applicable).
- Leverage Workday Extend for custom applications and solutions that enhance the native Workday Financials experience.
- Support Workday Financials configurations for ongoing releases and tenant updates, ensuring stability and compliance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve functional and technical issues impacting financial workflows, security, and reporting.
- Partner with Workday administrators and stakeholders to continuously improve system governance, security, and best practices.
- Stay up to date on Workday roadmap, feature releases, and best practices to recommend innovative solutions.

What You Bring:

- 57+ years of Workday platform experience, with at least 3+ years focused on Workday Financials modules.
- Deep expertise in Workday Financials configuration, including Procurement, Supplier Accounts, Banking & Settlement, Projects, Business Assets, or similar modules.
- Strong knowledge of Workday security model, business process framework, and tenant configuration.
- Hands-on experience with Workday Reporting tools (Report Writer, Calculated Fields, Composite Reports, Discovery Boards, and Matrix Reports).
- Experience with Workday Extend is a strong plus.
- Ability to design, configure, and optimize complex business processes with strong attention to compliance and audit requirements (e.g., SOX).
- Familiarity with Financial operations processes such as Procure-to-Pay, Accounting, Budgeting, and Project Financial Management.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity and deliver scalable solutions in a dynamic environment.
- Exceptional communication skills and proven ability to collaborate with Finance stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Self-starter who can work independently, drive outcomes, and influence business partners effectively.
- Workday certifications in Workday Financials or related modules preferred.
