The Opportunity
In this position, you will lead the establishment of a new strategy function under the CEO. This pivotal role will be instrumental in shaping TPs future by developing and implementing a comprehensive 3-5-year strategic plan, driving strategic AI investments, and leading a proactive M&A strategy.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record of driving strategic initiatives, a deep understanding of the AI and BPO sectors, and experience in M&A deal origination and evaluation. You will serve as a trusted advisor to the executive leadership team, providing strategic guidance and ensuring the successful execution of our strategic priorities.
The Responsibilities
- Develop and refine TP's 3-5-year strategic plan.
- Lead the implementation and execution of the strategic plan, collaborating closely with the ExCom and business unit presidents.
- Act as a strategic thought partner to ExCom members, providing guidance and support.
- Monitor progress against strategic goals, analyze market dynamics, and recommend course corrections as needed.
- Collaborate with the ExCom PMO to ensure alignment and effective tracking of strategic initiatives.
- Evaluate and prioritize AI investment opportunities, staying abreast of market trends and emerging technologies.
- Conduct due diligence on potential AI investments, including startups and strategic partnerships.
- Present investment recommendations to the ExCom and board for approval.
- Monitor the deployment and impact of AI investments in collaboration with the technology organization.
- Scout for new and emerging AI startups and technology.
- Develop and execute a proactive M&A strategy aligned with TP's strategic objectives.
- Identify and evaluate potential acquisition targets, including AI-focused companies.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to support M&A activities.
- Present M&A proposals to the ExCom and board.
- Focus on the top-of-the-funnel portion of M&A activity.
- Continuously monitor market trends, competitive activities, and emerging technologies in the AI and BPO sectors.
- Synthesize and communicate key market insights to the ExCom and relevant stakeholders.
- Leverage available market research tools, such as the lighthouse platform.
- Lead the strategy office and provide strategic direction.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Work closely with the CEO and EVP.
The Qualifications
- Director-level experience in strategy and corporate development.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful strategic plans.
- Strong understanding of AI and emerging technologies.
- Experience in M&A deal origination and evaluation.
- Experience within the BPO industry is highly desired.
- Consulting experience is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with senior executives in a fast-paced environment.
