DevOps Engineer

About the Role We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer with 5 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for bridging development and operations through automation, continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD), infrastructure as code (IaC), and system monitoring. You will ensure smooth, secure, and efficient software deployment and infrastructure management to support scalable and reliable applications. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI for automated build, test, and deployment. - Implement and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools. - Automate provisioning, configuration, and management of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises environments. - Containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate deployments with Kubernetes or similar platforms. - Monitor application performance and system health, troubleshoot issues, and implement resolution plans. - Collaborate closely with development, QA, and IT teams to streamline release and deployment workflows. - Ensure security best practices, vulnerability assessments, and compliance across the infrastructure and pipelines. - Perform root cause analysis for production incidents and implement preventive improvements. - Develop scripts and automation tools using Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages to improve operational efficiency. - Maintain documentation for infrastructure, deployment processes, and operational procedures. Required Skills and Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps or related infrastructure/automation roles. - Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or CircleCI. - Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and managing cloud-native infrastructure. - Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation). - Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef. - Strong knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes). - Solid scripting skills in Python, Bash, or other automation languages. - In-depth understanding of networking, system administration, and security best practices. - Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or DataDog. - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications - Certifications in AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, or DevOps-related fields. - Familiarity with Agile and DevOps culture and practices. - Experience working with microservices architectures and serverless infrastructure.
