Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate and innovative Material Scientist to join our R&D team in Junagadh. The ideal candidate will specialize in wood modification, densification, and polymer applications. This role offers the unique opportunity to shape the future of sustainable wood products while working hands-on in a dedicated lab environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead research and experimentation in wood densification technologies.

- Develop and optimize impregnation processes using polymers, resins, and chemical modifiers.

- Conduct testing on mechanical properties, dimensional stability, ASE (Anti-Swelling Efficiency), and durability.

- Explore hybrid treatments such as polymer–wood composites, nanoparticle impregnation, and eco-friendly modifications.

- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and production teams to translate lab results into scalable manufacturing processes.

- Maintain detailed technical documentation, research reports, and process guidelines.

- Stay updated with global research trends in wood modification, polymers, and sustainable materials.

Qualifications & Skills

- Master’s or Ph.D. in Material Science, Polymer Science, Wood Science, or related fields.

- Strong understanding of wood chemistry, cell wall structure, and material modification methods.

- Proven expertise in polymer applications (thermosets, thermoplastics, resins, coatings, or composites).

- Hands-on lab experience in impregnation, densification, compression, or related processes.

- Analytical mindset with skills in material testing, microscopy, and performance evaluation.

- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
