Were active members of the communities we serve Thats why at Stantec we always design with community in mind We believe growing a great design company happens from the inside out We look for people who are drawn to use every talent they possess plus creativity determination and a drive to do the extraordinary The Stantec community unites approximately 22 000 employees working in over 400 locations across six continents We collaborate across disciplines and industries to bring projects to life Our work as architects engineers and consultants from initial project concept and planning through design construction and commissioning is built on a solid history of success So when we take on a project we see the opportunity to make a lasting connection with the people and places where we live and work Redefine your personal best Join us Your OpportunityStantec is looking for a Senior Highway Design Engineer that can be a part of our growing team in Pune office The candidate will be working with Highway engineers and other senior staff in successful delivery of projects At Stantec we put people first by delivering exciting career opportunities We want to discuss with you why this is a great opportunity Your Key Responsibilities1 Produce and review design solutions from outline briefs correctly interpret data and effectively communicate to others 2 Manage the design and drafting team s allocated on projects 3 Training and mentoring staff proposal preparation project presentation project management and budget management 4 Check design and assessment calculations and review detailed drawings 5 Work on multiple projects concurrently with minimal supervision 6 Ensure delivery of project in accordance with quality timescales and budget 7 Produce and reviews designs drawings and budgets to ensure that technical designs will provide appropriate solution and budgets will be met 8 Plan program co-ordinate project teams and tasks 9 Exercise quality control of team deliverables 10 Maintain communication and develop ongoing contacts with clients as required 11 Maintain records of all reports drawings documents Your Capabilities and Credentials1 Minimum 10 years professional experience in the consulting and engineering industry after graduate education technical knowledge of road design in Open Roads 2 Civil3D and or Inroads and or 12D knowledge is a plus 3 Good knowledge of all aspects of technical standards and design codes such as AASHTO Austroads DMRB 4 Design delivery in Open Roads on North American projects using AASHTO is a must 5 Ability to take decisions independently and take directions from Seniors 6 Proficient in Microsoft MS Office Suite7 Effective communicator and able to work under tight schedule8 Competent level of client service management i e able to interface with clients and to build and maintain lasting positive relationships with our clients 9 Strong organizational and problem resolutions skills 10 Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of staff technical specialists11 Mentoring and providing guidance to the team 12 Travel other job demandsEducation and Experience1 A Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Masters degree in Highway Transportation Engineering with 10 years of experience in design and documentation of roadway highway projects Experience on international projects and particularly North American projects is a must 2 Software Skills 3 Knowledge of and project delivery in Open Roads is a must Knowledge of Civil 3D and or 12D is a plus Infraworks Navisworks experience is a plus 4 AutoCAD and or MicroStation - Knowledge of International Roadway Design Standards AASHTO DMRB Austroads or similar This description is not a comprehensive listing of activities duties or responsibilities that may be required of the employee and other duties responsibilities and activities may be assigned or may be changed at any time with or without notice Stantec is a place where the best and brightest come to build on each other s talents do exciting work and make an impact on the world around us Join us and redefine your personal best
