Responsibilities We're looking for an experienced Principal DevSecOps Engineer to join our team reporting to a Director of Engineering, you'll be responsible for: - Defining and evangelizing the long-term vision and roadmap for DevSecOps, integrating security seamlessly into CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code (IaC), and cloud operations - Driving continuous process improvement across the SDLC and DevSecOps landscape, optimizing time to delivery, code quality, and security - Providing technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams on DevSecOps matters, tracking initiative effectiveness via key metrics and KPIs for leadership reporting - Driving the implementation of continuous vulnerability assessment and penetration testing programs that have an organization-wide impact - Implementing security objectives across DevSecOps, utilizing NIST, OWASP, and DSOMM to define requirements and drive maturity What We're Looking For (Minimum Qualifications) - Experience leading transformation initiatives across enterprises within the DevSecOps landscape with a focus on program management, change management, roadmap alignment, and communications - Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field with 10+ years of experience managing AWS, GCP, or Private Cloud environments - Strong experience with secrets management solutions (e.g., HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, Azure Key Vault, Kubernetes Secrets) - Strong application development/Automation experience with one of the OOPS languages C/C++/Java/Python/GO - Skilled in managing full DevOps stacks: Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Git, and various CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, GitHub) What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications) - Experience with AI and ML tools in day to day DevSecOps activities - Experienced with YAML pipeline development (GitLab/GitHub) and familiar with essential build tools like Maven, Gradle, npm, and makefiles - Experience with Networking, Load Balancers, Firewalls, Web Security At Zscaler, we are committed to building a team that reflects the communities we serve and the customers we work with.
