AMS Circuit Design Engineer

Job Description Analog design expert responsible for hands-on design of the analog circuitry. Experiences Required - High speed interface design block level understanding (blocks include Duty cycle corrector, Sampler, Serializer/Deserializer, PLL/DLL, Phase Interpolator, CDR). Speeds -16Gbps and above. - Design of custom-digital blocks to meet slew/delay requirements and flops for setup/hold margins etc. - Understand effect of layout on high speed data/clock paths. Ability to perform layout reviews and suggest improvements. - At least 5 years industrial experience in the analog and mixed-signal design - finFET expertise - Expertise with EM & IR analyses ideally with Voltus-Fi, or Ansys Totem. Mandatory competencies - Language: Fluency in English, both written and spoken. - Problem-solving skills: Able to solve problems and implement solutions autonomously. - Social skills: Able to work in a team. - Tool skills: fluent in the use of Virtuoso schematic editor, ADE Maestro (Assembler & Explorer) - Ability to organize data in a understandable way and present to customer for review. - Able to quickly take ownership of already designed circuits (potentially in a different technology) and redesign them in an independent fashion, even if those topologies are out of the comfort zone. Able to apply general analog design concepts to any circuit port. - Able to design various analog circuits from scratch based on a given set of specifications. - Able to support the verification team in debugging measurement and/or yield issues. - You have the drive to share your knowledge and look across teams to improve overall quality and execution. - Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Key responsibilities - Contribute to the successful realization of a project in a design team. - Autonomously design a given topology to meet the given specifications in the foreseen timeframe. - Support other design engineers in handling complex design issues. - Achieve the successful realization of the layout in close collaboration with the layout team. - Share design experiences with co-developers and/or other designers. - Collaborate across teams for seamless integration of analog and digital components. - Contribute to the achievement of the quality objectives as stated in the quality policy. Quality - Commit to complying with the requirements of the Quality Management System that are related to the job title and to possible changes of the system. - Commit to developing and implementing Quality Management System and continually improving its effectiveness Report to - Project leader - Analog design team leader
