Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled SAP Basis &; HANA DB Administrator to manage and support our SAP landscape, particularly focusing on HANA databases, SAP upgrades, and OS/DB migrations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAP Basis administration, hands-on experience with SAP HANA DB, and a proven track record of performing SAP upgrades and OS/DB migrations in a dynamic, 24/7 environment.

Key Responsibilities:

SAP Basis Administration:

Perform day-to-day administration of SAP systems, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization.
Manage SAP system landscapes (ECC, BW, SCM, S/4HANA, etc.), ensuring performance, availability, and reliability.
Perform system installations, configurations, and patches (Kernel upgrades, Support Packages).

SAP HANA Database Administration:

Provide expert-level support for SAP HANA Database environments, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
Implement HANA DB upgrades, migrations, and patching as part of system maintenance.
Troubleshoot HANA-related issues and optimize database performance.

SAP Upgrades &; OS/DB Migrations:

Lead and execute SAP system upgrades, from planning and testing to full deployment.
Oversee and manage OS/DB migrations, ensuring smooth transition with minimal downtime and data integrity.
Collaborate with other teams for system backups, restores, and recovery operations during upgrades and migrations.

Monitoring &; Performance Tuning:

Monitor SAP and HANA system health, performance metrics, and address any issues proactively.
Perform tuning and optimization of both SAP applications and HANA databases to improve overall system performance.

24/7 Support:

Provide on-call support and ensure that critical issues are resolved promptly.
Work in rotating shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays) to ensure round-the-clock system availability.
Collaboration &; Documentation:

Collaborate with functional teams, development teams, and other IT groups to ensure smooth operations and implementations.
Maintain detailed and up-to-date documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

Experience:

5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Basis administration and HANA DB management.
Strong expertise in SAP upgrades, OS/DB migrations, and patching for SAP systems and databases.

Technical Skills:

Proficient in SAP Basis tools and technologies (e.g., STMS, SAP GUI, Solution Manager).
Solid understanding of SAP HANA Database architecture and performance optimization.
Experience with SAP HANA Cockpit, HANA Studio, and other HANA management tools.
Knowledge of Operating System (Linux/Unix/Windows) and Database (Oracle, HANA, MSSQL, etc.) administration.
Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager, SAP Fiori, SAP S/4HANA environments.

Certifications (Preferred but not mandatory):

SAP Certified Technology Associate SAP HANA.
SAP Certified Technology Associate SAP Basis.

Soft Skills:

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Shift Flexibility:

Willingness to work in rotating shifts, including night shifts, weekends, and holidays as part of the 24/7 operational support model.

Preferred Additional Skills:

Experience with cloud-based SAP solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Familiarity with SAP Landscape Management (LaMa) for system automation.
Knowledge of ITIL processes and incident management.
