The Manager, Learning Experience Design is a member of Visa University's Learning Experience Design community, supporting the Global Tech Learning organization, partnering directly with subject matter experts (SMEs), and developing modern learning solutions that drive business impact and performance.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in developing hands on coding lab-based learning for software developers, data scientists, engineers and other technical roles. Your portfolio will reflect a deep understanding of human-centered design and designing non-traditional learning solutions for software engineering and other technical audiences that map to a 3E (Experience, Exposure and Education) learning solution strategy. You also have a growth mindset to stay in front of rapidly evolving technologies and technical skills, and you are adept at navigating a complex and fast-changing environment where agile iterations define the speed of business.

This role is expected to work in a hybrid capacity, e.g., in the office at least 3 days per week (or whatever the local requirement is), at the Visa Bangalore campus.
Responsibilities

- Partner with Tech Learning Team Product Owners and Learning Consultants to design, develop and support execution of 3E learning experiences for Technical audiences.

- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and stakeholders across Visa to understand learning needs, share design best practices and create effective and efficient learning solutions leveraging the latest in design principles, patterns and standards

- Design and develop innovative and scalable global hands on learning solutions using modern learning methods to create measurable learning results

- Leverage AI technologies to create adaptive, personalized learning experiences

- Create immersive and engaging learning stateful coding lab experiences leveraging a variety of formats and tools (jupyter notebooks, cloud environments, etc.)

- Engage with vendors to scale and augment team capacity

- Partner with operations, delivery, business enablement teams, and other project members to ensure learning solutions are implemented seamlessly, on time, and within budget

- Share best practices and expertise in learning capabilities, modalities, and tools

- Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while ensuring design of best-in-class experiences

- Stay on top of developments in the industry and identify and implement new and innovative learning approaches and technologies

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Basic Qualifications

- 10 or more years of relevant work experience with a bachelor's degree or at least 1 year of work experience with an advanced degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD)

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with software development, especially Python and common libraries, and the Software Development Lifecycle
- Experience working in a global corporate organization supporting key business functions
- -Instructional Design Degree or Certification
- Experience with building technical learning including coding hands-on labs
- Team player with the ability to collaborate with peers, share ideas, and openness to a diverse range of thinking and working
- Experience in using human-centered design principles and instructional design methodologies (e.g., Agile, Design Thinking, etc)
- Familiarity with a variety of common learning authoring tools (e.g., Storyline, Rise, Synthesia, Camtasia, etc)
- Experience developing labs with Python.
- Experience building and deploying AI Agents.
- Experience building adaptive game-based learning
- Demonstrated passion for developing holistic learning experiences using persona and mind mapping and prototyping to ideate audience needs
- Ability to create and iterate thoughtful designs considering attention to detail with a keen focus on the user experience and alignment to broader business strategies
- Ability to adapt to change quickly, with enthusiasm and resourcefulness, when tackling unfamiliar tasks, requests, and large transformations
- Intellectually curious with a growth mindset
- Comfortable giving and receiving feedback
- Demonstration of strong written and oral communication skills
- Prioritizes effectively, manages scope creep, and knows when to escalate
- Ability to consult with SMEs within Visa University and broader Visa
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and in cross-functional agile teams, while delivering critical milestones
