Who we are looking for We are seeking a Fixed Income Portfolio Strategy Analyst to join the Fixed Income Portfolio Strategist and Specialists Team in Bangalore The Fixed Income Client Portfolio Managers CPMs and Specialists team has a deep expertise and understanding of fixed income markets and investment strategies primarily working with institutional clients We collaborate with multiple teams across the organization in order to commercialize our investment capabilities that enable our clients and prospects to achieve their financial goals The CPM and Specialists team is a key link between portfolio management and sales and distribution teams and they provide vital support in positioning and commercializing our investment capabilities and servicing our clients You will be part of a close-knit team focusing on the continued success and growth of our Indexed fixed income strategies across the Globe working on core sectors such as Treasuries as well as spread sectors like corporates and also systematic active fixed income capabilities Why this role is important to us State Street Global Advisors SSGA is the asset management business of State Street Corporation one of the world s leading providers of financial services to institutional investors with more than 4 trillion in assets under management and a heritage dating back over two centuries Backed by the strength and stability of the State Street organization SSGA makes continual investments in asset management and client servicing platforms resulting in a client-focused solutions-driven orientation What you will be responsible for Support the subject matter experts specialists and Client portfolio managers CPMs for global accounts Assist in creation of client portfolio review materials and new client pitches for various strategies Take ownership of reporting and analytical requests from Specialists CPMs client reporting proposal management sales and portfolio management teams Liaise across various teams including portfolio admin risk and liquidity management to frame effective response to client queries pitches and other requests Ensure timely and accurate deliverables Gain in-depth understanding of indexing enhanced and active investment processes in fixed income Work closely with specialists and CPMs to assist and develop effective collateral for our investment products Develop strong fixed income analytics competencies Work on in-depth competitor analysis gaining insights into the entire competitive landscape for a strategy Understand key metrics for benchmarking products vis-a-vis competition and understand key strengths and positioning of our offering Participate in Request for proposals and due diligence documents for the strategies and funds assigned Support senior team members in Thought Leadership articles related to our fixed income offering Strong communication and people skills to collaborate effectively within and outside the team with other analysts specialists and CPMs Ability to deliver accurately and work effectively in a time-constrained environment What we value Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to analyze and evaluate data and present findings accordingly Effective PowerPoint and excel skills to create marketing collaterals Excellent writing skills required to write RFPs market commentaries and thought leadership articles Curiosity with solid technical understanding of macroeconomics and fixed income markets Additional requirements Highly motivated and ability to prioritize and operate effectively in fast paced environment Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy Solution oriented mind-set -
