Cardiovascular Technologist

Operate diagnostic imaging equipment to perform non-invasive cardiovascular testing procedures including echocardiography Doppler ultrasound transesophageal echocardiography and vascular ultrasound Prepare patients for testing by explaining the procedure and taking patient history Monitor patients during testing and document results Analyze test results and collaborate with physicians to develop patient care plans Assist physicians in invasive cardiovascular diagnostic and therapeutic procedures Maintain and troubleshoot diagnostic imaging equipment Provide patient education on cardiovascular health and lifestyle modifications Record clinical notes patient histories and test results in medical records Schedule appointments enter data into databases and other clerical duties as needed Skills and Competencies to Have Knowledge of cardiac anatomy physiology and disease processes Knowledge of cardiovascular technology and procedures Ability to use specialized equipment and tools Ability to communicate effectively with patients physicians and other healthcare providers Ability to accurately interpret ultrasound images Ability to provide quality patient care Ability to assess and respond appropriately to medical emergencies Ability to maintain patient confidentiality Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficient in medical terminology documentation and record keeping Job Types Full-time Permanent Pay 25 000 00 - 30 000 00 per month Experience Cardiovascular Technologist 2 years Required Work Location In person
