L. Nehru Road, Kolkata. He must have knowledge of maintain Accounts, preparing balance sheet etc. Salary: As per industry standards An accountant in a steel manufacturing company primarily manages financial records, tracks complex production costs, and ensures compliance with industry regulations. Key responsibilities include preparing financial statements, handling payroll, managing accounts payable and receivable, budgeting, and providing financial analysis to support decision-making. This often requires specialized knowledge in areas like manufacturing cost accounting.   Core responsibilities Financial record-keeping: Maintain accurate books, handle invoices, and process payments. Financial reporting: Prepare and present financial statements like balance sheets and profit/loss statements, often including management information systems (MIS) reports.  Compliance and taxation: Ensurb e compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and regulations (e.g., GST, TDS) and handle statutory payments. Auditing: Coordinate internal and external audits and prepare documentation for auditors.
