Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Instrumentation Engineer with expertise in EPLAN to support the design of control systems for our Global Facilities business unit. This role involves creating detailed electrical drawings, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and collaborating with project teams to meet technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Design & Drafting: Use EPLAN to design control panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and schematics. Generate detailed electrical drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for fabrication.
- Compliance & Quality: Ensure all designs comply with UL 508A, NEC, and other relevant codes. Conduct quality reviews of project submissions.
- Technical Support: Assist with hardware selection, panel sizing, and system troubleshooting during the design phase. Review vendor drawing submittals to confirm design compliance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with senior engineers, and engineering and production teams to meet project timelines.
- Deliverables: A plus if you can develop control system deliverables such as I/O lists, cable schedules, instrument location plans, and instrument datasheets.

Required Qualifications

- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: 6 to 8 years of experience working with EPLAN. Prior experience in control panel design and working on food & consumer product or mission-critical facilities is a strong plus.
- Technical Skills:
- Hands-on EPLAN experience is a must.
- Knowledge of UL 508A, NEC, NFPA, and NEMA standards.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit is a plus.
- Knowledge of databases, especially Excel.
- Soft Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
