Job Description Corporate Bank Technology - Core Banking & Payments - Engineer, AVP Position Overview Job Title: Corporate Bank Technology - Core Banking & Payments - Engineer, AVP Location: Bangalore, India Role Description Technical Specialist Role within Core banking Program with focus on technical solutions, technical design, code quality. This role will require the capability of identifying right solution, feasibility study for technology migration & new requirement projects. - Skillset: COBOL, Linux scripting, Control-M, MQ Kafka, basics of Oracle, Java. Areas of Specialty: Software Design: Visualizes, communicates and documents a technical solution and design for solving a business problem. Software Development/ Production support: Technical team members dedicated to developing, production problem solving and develop software to meet a technical solution and to resolve production problem. This team will be one of many teams working on the same application. What we'll offer you As part of our flexible scheme, here are just some of the benefits that you'll enjoy - Best in class leave policy - Gender neutral parental leaves - 100% reimbursement under childcare assistance benefit (gender neutral) - Sponsorship for Industry relevant certifications and education - Employee Assistance Program for you and your family members - Comprehensive Hospitalization Insurance for you and your dependents - Accident and Term life Insurance - Complementary Health screening for 35 yrs. and above Your key responsibilities - Prepares optimal software solution and design for delivering business requirements - Ensures software code developed matches software design and business requirements - Ensure production issues are attended, identify root cause, work around for a problem. - Ensures software code developed meets quality and performance standards. - Ensures software development best practices are followed - Perform code reviews - Deep dive into the design/architecture of the application from a technological point of view, enabling internal tech specialists and vendor partner to bring forth best solutions. - Support on test cases for unit and integration testing and make those as part of automated testing - Identify areas of Automation for performance improvements - Manage scope of deliveries, manage expectations and ensure clear and concise communication to sponsors, team members and other stakeholders. - Work with multiple, distributed teams, leveraging resources in other teams - Build strong relationships with the vendor and internal clients - Ensures the full software development lifecycle is followed and supported by the team all the way to product ionisation of developed code. - Mentors and motivates a team of software developers to learn and achieve their full potential Your skills and experience - 8+ years experience in software development project, especially working experience in business analysis, development, design, maintenance and software improvement - Excellent development expertise with COBOL & Linux scripting - Excellent problem-solving skills. - Production support experience where identify technical root cause, fixing technical issues is required. - Java experience is an advantage, - Knowledge on pro.c is an advantage. - SQL development expertise with Oracle optional - Exposure to MQ Series/kafka/ JMS / Control-M / Oracle - Core banking and payments business knowledge is an advantage. - Analytical expertise in an industry standard methodology ( structured analysis, structured design) - Good Communication Skills - Problem solving ability - Good Stakeholder Management skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. - Passion for sharing knowledge and best practices. - Ability to work in virtual teams and in matrix organizations. - Fluent English (written/verbal).
