Position: Metro Telecom Commissioning Engineer Location: Kolkata/Mumbai Employment Type: Full-time Experience Level: Mid-Level (5 to 7+ years) Industry: Metro Rail / Transportation Telecom Systems Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Metro Telecom Commissioning Engineer to contribute to the design, execution, interface and commissioning of critical telecom systems for metro rail networks. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in commissioning TETRA, FOTS, CCTV, ACS, Telephone, MCS, CDRS, and SCADA systems. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in Metro Telecommunication domain Metro Rail project Testing & commissioning. Key Responsibilities: - Manage Testing & Commissioning activities for metro railway Telecom systems as per project requirements. Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and validation of subsystems: - Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) - Access Control & Intrusion Detection (ACID) - Public Address System (PAS) - Passenger Information Display System (PIDS) - Fiber Optic Transmission System (FOTS) - Master Clock System (MCS) - SCADA System - Telephone System - TETRA Radio System - Centralized data recording system - Verify system integration and ensure smooth interoperability across subsystems. Develop, prepare FAT/PAT/SAT documentation, reports and execute. - Ensure compliance with client specifications, industry standards, and safety guidelines. Provide technical support during handover and assist in client/operator training. Coordinate with design, installation, and OEM/vendor teams to resolve issues. - Troubleshoot issues during system integration and handover - Tender & Contract reading, understanding and verification of technical aspects of project requirements. - To possess strong analytical/problem solving skills and technical negotiation skills for effective handling of Risk and Opportunity as well as Claim Management leading to overall project success and customer satisfaction. - To consider travelling as an integral part of the job and ready to travel frequently for short-to-long-term duration to sites for project execution, testing & commissioning activities. - To adhere to the highest safety standards and exhibit a process-oriented approach. Qualifications: - Education: Bachler's/master's degree in Electronics & Communications or Electrical Engineering Experience & Skills: - Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience, hands-on experience in metro rail/transportation telecom design, testing & commissioning with expertise in TETRA, FOTS, CCTV, ACS, MCS, CDRS, and SCADA systems. - Experience with Siemens, Alstom, Thales, or Huawei rail telecom solutions is a plus. - Hands-on experience on testing & commissioning of Telecommunication packages of Mtero Rail projects (FOTS, TETRA, CCTV, PIS, PIDS, CDRS, Telephone, MCS, SCDA, FRS). - FAT, PAT & SAT conducting experience - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. - Excellent skills in system interface and coordination. - Good in stakeholder management and coordination. - Ability to work independently and take ownership of project testing & commissioning deliverables.
