Job Description: We are looking for a highly skilled engineer with expert proficiency in C++ or Golang, strong experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL), and familiarity with NoSQL systems (MongoDB/Cassandra). The role involves designing, developing, and optimizing search and ranking algorithms, applying information retrieval techniques, and ensuring high-quality, relevant search results at scale. The ideal candidate will be strong in performance tuning, debugging, and problem-solving, especially in handling complex web scraping challenges. Experience working on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for deployment, scaling, and production operations is essential. Proficiency with Git and strong communication and collaboration skills are required for working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. Requirements: 4–6 years of hands-on industry experience in backend/system development. - Expert proficiency in C++ or Golang, with strong understanding of data structures and algorithms. - Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB/Cassandra). - Hands-on experience in building and optimizing search functionality, including ranking algorithms and information retrieval techniques. - Strong skills in performance testing, profiling, debugging, and optimizing large-scale systems. - Experience with web scraping challenges, data extraction, or distributed crawling systems. - Practical experience deploying and scaling applications on AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure. - Strong understanding of Git, CI/CD practices, and collaborative development workflows. - Excellent problem-solving skills, ownership, communication, and ability to work with cross-functional teams. Additional Preferred Skills (Optional but Recommended) - Experience working with distributed systems, microservices, or message queues such as Kafka or RabbitMQ. - Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or similar monitoring solutions. - Ability to take end-to-end ownership of features—from design and architecture to deployment and performance tuning. - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
