Job Description Industry & Sector A provider in the dental healthcare sector operating on-site outpatient clinics across India, delivering preventive, restorative, cosmetic and emergency oral care. The practice emphasizes evidence-based clinical protocols, patient comfort, and adoption of modern dental workflows. Role: General Dentist (On-site, India) Role & Responsibilities - Provide comprehensive general dentistry: oral exams, diagnosis, treatment planning, restorations, and preventive care tailored to each patient. - Perform endodontic treatments, extractions and minor oral surgery procedures under local anesthesia ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes. - Use digital radiography and intraoral imaging to evaluate clinical findings, document cases, and communicate treatment plans with patients. - Maintain strict infection control, sterilization practices and accurate dental records in line with regulatory and clinic protocols. - Coordinate with dental assistants, hygienists and frontdesk staff to manage patient flow, followups and postop care instructions efficiently. - Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive strategies and treatment options to drive case acceptance and longterm oral health. Skills & Qualifications Must-Have - BDS degree with current registration with the Dental Council of India (DCI). - Proven clinical experience in a private dental practice or hospital setting (ability to manage a full general dentistry case load). - Strong practical skills in restorative dentistry and endodontic procedures. - Competence in administering local anesthesia and performing routine extractions/minor surgical procedures. - Familiarity with digital radiography (IOPA/OPG) and clinical radiographic interpretation. - Adherence to infection control, sterilization protocols and clinical documentation standards. Preferred - Postgraduate training or certifications in endodontics, prosthodontics or conservative dentistry. - Experience with intraoral scanners, CAD/CAM workflows or CBCT interpretation. - Familiarity with dental practice management software and patient record systems.
