Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer - Estimation to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience in cost estimation for engineering projects. The role involves preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project specifications, and collaborating with project managers to ensure projects are delivered within budget.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical engineering projects.
- Analyze project specifications and requirements to determine appropriate materials and labor costs.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to provide accurate budgeting.
- Develop and maintain a database of historical costs for reference in future projects.
- Review and analyze project bids and proposals to ensure competitiveness and feasibility.
- Prepare and present cost estimation reports to stakeholders and clients.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 4-9 years of experience in cost estimation or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
- Proficiency in estimation software and tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills for precise cost calculations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with team members and clients.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in cost estimation processes.
