Job Description Job Summary We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Technician who can support mechanical assembly, fitment, basic design drafting, and has strong knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and measurement instruments. The role involves assembling mechanical parts, assisting in prototype builds, updating drawings, and ensuring proper fitment during robot/product development. Key Responsibilities - Perform mechanical assembly and fitment of components, brackets, structures, and sub-systems - Read and interpret 2D drawings, basic CAD models, and assembly instructions - Assist in design drafting (2D/3D) for simple parts under supervision - Use hand tools and power tools like grinders, drills, torque wrenches, rivet guns, spanners, etc - Carry out alignment, leveling, fitment checks, and ensure precision - Support prototype build, testing, and rework activities - Maintain inventory of mechanical parts, fasteners, and tools - Ensure assembly quality, safety, and housekeeping standards in the workshop - Coordinate with design and production teams for corrections and improvements Requirements Skills & Requirements - Diploma / ITI in Mechanical, Fitter, Tool & Die, Mechatronics, or related field - Experience in mechanical assembly or fabrication (0-4 years preferred) - Working knowledge of CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, On shape, or similar) - Ability to read and understand technical drawings - Strong hands-on skills with mechanical tools & measurement instruments - Ability to work independently and solve assembly issues on the floor - Willingness to work in a fast-paced product/prototype environment Preferred (Good To Have) - Experience in robotics, special-purpose machines, or automation - Knowledge of welding basics, drilling jigs, fitment jigs - Experience with tolerances and GD&T (basic level)
