Job Description

- Manage and troubleshootLinux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.)at an advanced level.
- Performkernel tuning, patching, and OS upgradeswhile ensuring system stability.
- Implement and maintainhigh-availability (HA) clusters, load balancing, and failover mechanisms.
- Automate system administration tasks usingShell scripting, Ansible, or Python.
- Monitor server performance and resolveCPU, memory, and I/O bottlenecks.
- Troubleshoot complex system failures, log analysis, and root cause investigations.
- ManageLVM, RAID, and storage configurationsfor optimal performance.
- Configure and secure services such asApache, Nginx, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Docker/Kubernetes.
- Work onidentity and access management(LDAP, SSO, PAM configurations).
- Ensurecompliance with security policiesand hardening Linux systems (CIS benchmarks, firewall rules, SELinux, etc.).
- Collaborate withcross-functional teams (networking, DevOps, security, and application teams)to ensure smooth operations.
- ProvideL3 escalation supportand mentor junior engineers.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

5+ yearsof hands-on Linux system administration experience.

Expertise introubleshooting complex Linux issuesand performance tuning.

Strong knowledge ofscripting (Bash, Python, or Ansible)for automation.

Experience withHA clusters, load balancing (HAProxy, Keepalived), and failover setups.

Familiarity withvirtualization and cloud platforms(VMware, AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Hands-on experience withcontainerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Experience withmonitoring toolslike Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, or Zabbix.

Strong understanding ofnetworking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, Firewalls, etc.).

Security hardening experience (SELinux, AppArmor, iptables, etc.).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have:

- Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or equivalent certification.
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
