Senior Engineer

Responsibilities Minimum of 8-15 years experience in basic and detail design and project coordination of Electrical works on Pharmaceutical Infrastructure and Energy Projects Should be familiar with cGMP and other Pharmaceutical Design guidelines Should be able to perform electrical discipline work which involves the preparation interpretation or review of calculations specifications and electrical layout plans including lighting and grounding systems Should review design documents of equipment manufacturers and subcontractors and prepare comments recommendations Experience in preparing technical specifications datasheets material requisitions and vendor document reviews for various electrical equipment Execution of assigned work in accordance with applicable contract procedures and client and project standards Adhering to the company s engineering procedures for design safety adopting safe attitudes towards engineering design and raising features affecting the safety and integrity of the project with appropriate authorities Should have good experience in the preparation of load lists cable HT LT PCC MCC schedules Lighting calculations transformers DG UPS etc Coordination with various stake holders like Client various internal disciplines like projects Piping mechanical architect civil vendors for effective engineering management Experience in managing a team of designers working on an area scope Planning Monitoring and checking the quality of the work done by designers Experience in various electrical layouts like grounding raceways lighting etc Should have fair understanding on TIA-942B guideline Should be familiar with IS IEC ANSI and applicable pharmaceutical standards Should be able to prepare SLD Equipment Layout as per NBC CEIG Electricity rule cable tray earthing layout Load list with load balancing in case of power failure at one source to maintain redundancy Preparation of Basis of Design power distribution for the plant Preparation of design calculations for sizing the major electrical equipment Familiar with ETAP calculations - for Load flow short circuit Harmonic study arc flash study Guiding a team of designers in 2D 3D electrical engineering review of 3D model and review of layouts MTOs extracted from the model Should be able to do cost estimation of Electrical Package Procurement activity for Electrical items covering preparation of enquiry specification review of quotes and preparation of TR preparation of order specifications Keep up to date with the latest technological advancements and best practices within the electrical specialisation Continue professional development by attendance to in and out of company technical training Qualifications Qualifications and Experience B E B Tech Electrical with a minimum 8-15 years experience Industry Type - Life sciences Chemical Experience in working with engineering consultancies and EPC companies for design engineering is desirable Should have good exposure in pharma industry guidelines such ISPE USFDA WHO cGMP Expertise in the following is an added advantage Bio-Pharmaceutical -Upstream and downstream process API -Synthetic and Bio Fermentation Formulation -Oral solid suspension Fill Finish Vaccine facility Clean Utility Systems About Us Wood is a global leader in consulting and engineering helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets We provide consulting projects and operations solutions in 60 countries employing around 35 000 people Diversity StatementWe are an equal opportunity employer that recognises the value of a diverse workforce All suitably qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment on the basis of objective criteria and without regard to the following which is a non-exhaustive list race colour age religion gender national origin disability sexual orientation gender identity protected veteran status or other characteristics in accordance with the relevant governing laws
