Exploring the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Development Engineer II (PHP Developer). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions. As the Software Development Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of our software projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and reliability. How Your Day Will Look Like/Job Responsibilities: - Successfully take over the development & enhancement of the assigned components in a high throughput distribution system. - Leverage robust open-source technologies to improve maintainability in terms of time & cost. - Write clean, scalable, and efficient code using PHP/Symfony. - Identify and fix bugs in the application. - Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in production and development environments. - Successfully develop solutions that help us integrate RateGain products with our partners. - Document software designs, technical specifications, and test cases. - Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, encouraging knowledge sharing and cross-team collaboration. - Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies, identifying opportunities to leverage new tools and techniques to improve our software development processes. - Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement appropriate mitigation strategies. - Establish and enforce engineering standards, processes, and methodologies to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality software. Education & Work Experience: - 3-5 years of progressive experience with PHP, Symfony, MySQL, MongoDB. - Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. Knowledge: - Comprehensive knowledge of Agile methodologies like Scrum and DevOps culture for streamlining development processes. - Good knowledge of major cloud platforms and provisioning cloud resources, with expertise in Kubernetes and Docker. - Proficient knowledge of both RDBMS like MySQL and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, including database design and administration tasks. Skills: - Experience in developing easy-to-use, high-performance REST-based web APIs with JSON, XML. - Strong expertise in PHP/Symfony. - Experience in Algorithms, Data Structures & Problem Solving. - Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker for containerization. - Knowledge of Elastic Search and database optimization.
