Role Profile

The Sustainable Investment Data Mastering is a web-based solution based on Angular, Java and MSSQL technologies consisting of various modules. The application supports data capture, reporting and analytical capabilities. The Sustainable Investment Data platform is built to include data collection and operational activities to support existing and new index products. The SI platform is being modernized and improved to meet the growing demand for the product.

Tech Profile/Required Skills

- 5+ Years of work experience on MSSQL as Database Developer on MS SQL.
- Be proficient on SQL DDL and DML, Store Procedures, Triggers etc. Maintenance and support experience is a plus.
- Be able to own the troubleshooting and tunning on database performance issues.
- Be Familiar with Agile development process and tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence etc.)
- Strong sense of core system support and customer satisfaction.

Education and Professional Skills

- Professional qualification or equivalent.
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.
- Good English reading/writing capability is required.
- Strong communication & articulation skills.
- Curious about new technologies and tools, creative thinking and initiative taking.
- Financial Market Industry product development is a big plus.
- Knowledge of Cloud and Big Data: Azure development and maintenance experience is plus

Detailed Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

- Involvement in SI project, new feature, content enhancement, KTLO bug fix related DB change request, review design, coordinate delivery plan
- Coordinate and communicate with relevant Dev/ product support/RE etc teams on each of DB changes, figure out the impact on each other and downstream customer, finalize change deployment plan and deploy changes to databases.
- Support QA team to complete their DB testing task, provide DB technical consultancy for them.
- Operational DB Oncall support. Response DB issues request (data latency, data error, query slowness, DB access and so on) from internal/external customer, get them resolved together with relevant team.
- Monitor database health events proactively, handle it preventatively.
- DB parameter adjustment, performance tuning with data growth and other infrastructure/application change implication.
- Respond hardware TECH refresh support, security event, DR event, OS event, regular testing, Brexit, Modernization request, coordinate with different team to implement it.
- Respond DB SYNC request from various Dev/QA teams
- Database capacity planning and management, server benchmark/load testing.
- Builds trusting relationships with team and colleagues, collaborating closely with team.
- Communicates with clarity and precision in a concise format.
