Installation and Setup Travel to customer sites to install new equipment, devices, or systems such as telecom units, computer hardware, electrical systems, security cameras, HVAC units, solar panels, or appliances. Perform pre-installation checks and site inspections to ensure compatibility and safety. Calibrate, configure, and test the installed equipment to confirm functionality. Provide clear instructions to customers on usage, safety precautions, and basic troubleshooting. 2. Maintenance and Servicing Conduct routine maintenance and preventive checks on installed systems to avoid breakdowns and ensure optimal performance. Replace or repair worn-out components, upgrade software or firmware, and clean equipment as needed. Maintain service logs and reports detailing inspections, maintenance work performed, and recommendations for follow-up visits. 3. Troubleshooting and Repairs Respond to customer complaints or service requests in a timely manner. Diagnose problems using tools, manuals, and testing procedures, and determine the root cause of technical issues. Repair faulty equipment or coordinate with the central service team for complex or warranty-related replacements. Test systems after repair to ensure issues are resolved and performance meets required standards. 4. Documentation and Reporting Maintain accurate records of service visits, repairs performed, parts replaced, customer interactions, and equipment status. Submit daily or weekly reports to the supervisor, service manager, or operations team. Ensure all documentation is updated in internal systems or software (e.g., service management tools, CRM). 5. Customer Interaction and Support Communicate professionally and courteously with customers to understand issues, provide updates, and explain technical details in simple terms. Educate customers on care, usage, and basic troubleshooting for the products or services installed. Gather customer feedback and report recurring issues or improvement suggestions to the technical or product team. 6. Inventory and Tools Management Carry and maintain a complete set of tools and parts required for installations and service visits. Keep track of spare parts and request replenishments from the warehouse or inventory team. Ensure all tools and equipment are used safely and stored properly when not in use. 7. Safety and Compliance Follow all safety procedures and comply with industry standards, local regulations, and company policies while working at customer sites. Use protective gear and safety equipment as required.
