Job Description

- Role: Data Modeler
- Location: Delhi NCR / Bangalore / Hyderabad / Pune / Chennai / Coimbatore
- Key Skills: SQL Data Modeler, ETL, Erwin, Dimensional Data Modelling, DWH
- Experience Range: 6-14 years

We are on a Look out for a Data Modeler with strong knowledge of Data Warehousing, Dimensional Modeling, Star and Snowflake Schema, Ralph Kimbal, (Forward & reverse) Engineering, Data profiling, Data vault, Cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure),

Key Responsibilities:

- Responsible for Designing and Managing Data Architecture for the Enterprise Analytics Ecosystem.
- Should have ability to design conceptual, logical and Physical Data Models.
- Design scalable and efficient models
- Maintain Data Dictionaries.
- Requires a strong understanding of database design principles, data modelling techniques - especially Dimensional Model) and ETL processes. Participate in requirements definition, analysis, and the design of logical and physical data models.
- Requires Hands-on experience with modelling tools such as ERWIN or another industry-standard tool.
- Requires effective collaborating with various stakeholders such as Business Analysts, Data Engineers etc to ensure the Analytics and Reporting needs are supported efficiently.
- Lead data discovery discussions with Business in JAD sessions and map the business requirements to logical and physical data modelling solutions.
- Explain the Models to the ETL team and work with ETL/Data Engineering teams to create data process pipelines for data ingestion and transformation.
- Support Different Analysts community in understanding and assessing Data Assets
- Ensure database designs efficiently support BI and end user requirements.
- Requires good exposure to Enterprise level Large Relational Databases (Synapse, GCP, Redshift etc.)
- Establish and Document Best practices in Data Modelling standards.
- Ensure compliance with Data Security standards and privacy regulations.
- Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and standards.

Good to Have:

- Exposure to SAP system Understand various modules of SAP ECC, PLM etc.
- Exposure to Normalized (3 NF EDW models) Data models or Data vault
- Exposure to NoSQL - Graph Databases

Education/Experience Level:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or relevant fields with 3+ years of experience as a Data Modeler or Data Architect.
