manufacturing facility Responsibilities Provides conclusions and recommendations for quality issues and or continuous quality improvement projects Participates in supplier quality improvement initiatives works with suppliers to develop and improve quality levels Ensures the reliability and quality of suppliers implementing process controls certification programs evaluations inspections corrective actions audits and records Identified quality problem s and determines a short-term action plan with the facility management and the supplier On-site supplier audit for Quality Cost Logistics Development Management QCLDM Driving implementation of Lean Deployment of BIQ Capacity planning ensuring supplies as per EPP volumes Aligning to Caterpillar Production System CPS procedures Review Approval of 8D Evaluation of potential new suppliers Ensure capacity of suppliers to meet our demands Drive cost reductions Initiate localisation of parts to reduce product costs improve Assurance of Supplies AoS Review improve Supplier Shipping Performance SSP at regular frequency Leading the suppliers for Supplier Excellence Recognition Process SER certification Active participation in Supplier Performance Management Reviews SPM Approval of Production Part Approval Process PPAP for new development EN change parts Take lead in Advanced Product Quality Planning APQP activities Collaborate with Engineering personnel supplier teams for Concurrent Product and Process Development CPPD reviews during new developments New Product Introduction NPI Lead Continuous Process Improvement CPI projects assigned Initiate global best practices implemented at suppliers Co-ordinate with global teams support as required to ensure supplies globally Degree Requirement Degree or
