Manager, Data Visualization Design

Summary Novartis is hiring a Data Visualization Designer to turn complex health data into clear beautiful and story-driven visuals that inform inspire and elevate communication across our core brand assets This role blends information design visual storytelling and data interpretation to support strategic narratives across medical marketing and internal communications The ideal candidate is a designer with strong analytical curiosity someone who sees structure and meaning in datasets and knows how to bring them to life through elegant infographics charts maps and visual frameworks They are as comfortable exploring a dataset with the team as they are designing high-fidelity graphics in Figma or Illustrator Beyond hands-on design this role also brings creative inspiration and visual rigor to agency partners helping guide and elevate data visualization across the organization They will collaborate closely with Creative Content Strategy CCS Creative Studio CS and Therapeutic Area leads TAs to drive consistent impactful and data-driven storytelling across our innovative medicines Location - Hyderabad LI Hybrid Key Responsibilities Design visually compelling infographics charts graphs timelines and frameworks to communicate health data and insights Apply strong design fundamentals typography layout color iconography to ensure clarity hierarchy and brand alignment Develop scalable modular visual systems for reuse across campaigns and markets Partner with Leads from Creative Content Strategy Content Strategy and Therapeutic Areas to understand strategic brand data objectives Generate original data-focused visual narratives that enhance brand messages or uncover new angles Explore interpret and identify new visual storytelling opportunities from health data Collaborate with analytics insights or scientific teams to validate and contextualize visuals Organize data visually through clear categorization layering and progressive disclosure Ensure accessibility and brand alignment in all visual outputs Present ideas and sketches and clearly articulate design logic and data interpretation decisions Handle feedback loops efficiently maintaining clarity and quality through iterations Prepare visual deliverables for print digital PowerPoint or interactive formats Collaborate with medical digital marketing and internal communications teams to define visualization needs Essential Requirements Bachelor s degree in graphic design communication design fine arts information design information science data science or related field 5 years in a data-driven design information design or visual storytelling role agency in-house healthcare or editorial preferred Strong portfolio demonstrating infographics charts maps and data-based narratives Preferred Experience in health science or pharma data will be a great help Proficient with Adobe Illustrator Figma Photoshop InDesign and other vector or layout tools Eye for aesthetic quality clarity and accessibility Skilled in building visual narratives from raw or structured data Ability to translate complex datasets into digestible and visually impactful experiences Capable of identifying patterns and narrative arcs from fragmented information Experience with interactive visualizations scroll-based infographics or PDF storytelling formats Comfortable distilling raw content like Excel sheets transcripts or strategy decks into key messages and visual moments and skilled at humanizing information Fluent in English written and spoken with the ability to express complex design thinking clearly Preferred Familiarity with visual storytelling platforms like Flourish Ceros Infogram or no-code web tools is a plus Preferred Basic knowledge of accessibility contrast legibility structure Preferred Experience working with scientific data behavioral insights or campaign metrics is a plus but not required Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion Novartis is committed to building an outstanding inclusive work environment and diverse teams representative of the patients and communities we serve Accessibility and accommodation Novartis is committed to working with and providing reasonable accommodation to individuals with disabilities If because of a medical condition or disability you need a reasonable accommodation for any part of the recruitment process or in order to perform the essential functions of a position please send an e-mail to diversityandincl india novartis com and let us know the nature of your request and your contact information Please include the job requisition number in your message Skills Desired Agility Analytical Thinking Brand Awareness Building Construction Business Analytics Cross-Functional Collaboration Digital Marketing Marketing Strategy Media Campaigns Sales Stakeholder Engagement Stakeholder Management Strategic Marketing Waterfall Model
