Job Title Manager - Security Summary POSITION SUMMARY Responsible to work with the Property Facilities Manager in managing the overall security processes for buildings properties in accordance with State and Federal laws and regulations and company policies procedures and standards Also responsible to work with the Manager to ensure the security needs of the client are in accordance with the terms of the management agreement for the entire real estate portfolio Please delete this section before finalizing the Job Requisition Below is an example for this Job Profile and may need to be updated to reflect the specific responsibilities of this role Please also ensure that you validate the selection of the Job Profile and placement of this Position in the Job Architecture before finalizing ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES o Manage daily functions of Security Department to include o Grant access to and distribute security badges for new employees o Manage and oversee the alarm and key control systems for all buildings o Manage and oversee various security systems trouble-shoots system issues that may arise o Partner with IT on granting security access of shared space such as meeting rooms etc o Coordinate with vendors as needed for repair to security systems door locks etc o Compile reports and other data generated from security systems provide reports to Property Manager and or the Client o Manage address and resolve all daily security issues communicate larger issues to the building Manager and or the Client o Communicate security policies and procedures to employees in conjunction with the building s security manager o Evaluate and make recommendations to the building Manager and or the Client on security procedures to ensure compliance with State and Federal Laws and Regulations and company policies procedures and standards o Manage the efficiency of systems coordinate with service contractors to repair systems when needed o Maintain accurate records relating to security incidents and or investigations conduct investigations as required take appropriate actions as warranted communicate any occurrences to building Manager and or the Client o Participate in the process to develop Business Continuity Planning for the property o Directly and or indirectly supervise individuals building staff and other vendors relied upon to manage the facilities o Ensure life safety and evacuation procedures are distribution to new tenants - KEY COMPETENCIES LIST 7-10 MAXIMUM 1 Customer Focus 2 Communication Proficiency oral and written 3 IMPORTANT EDUCATION INDICATE EDUCATION BASED ON REQUIREMENTS THAT ARE JOB-RELATED AND CONSISTENT WITH BUSINESS NECESSITY o High School Diploma or GED IMPORTANT EXPERIENCE INDICATE EXPERIENCE BASED ON REQUIREMENTS THAT ARE JOB-RELATED AND CONSISTENT WITH BUSINESS NECESSITY o 1 year s experience working in the security field preferably in a corporate office environment What kind of relevant work experience ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE COMPUTER PROFICIENCY DESIGNATIONS LICENSURE CERTIFICATIONS ACCREDITATION SPECIFIC EQUIPMENT Could any of the items highlighted in yellow below be deleted if there is a reference to them under Competencies o Knowledge of electronic access control systems o Knowledge of Security State and Federal Laws and Regulations o Ability to maintain applicable licensing requirements o Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite o Ability to maintain a valid driver s license WORK ENVIRONMENT INDICATE TEMPERATURE NOISE LEVEL AND OTHER FACTORS THAT AFFECT EMPLOYEE S WORKING CONDITIONS This job operates in a professional office environment This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers phones photocopiers filing cabinets and fax machines PHYSICAL DEMANDS The PHYSICAL DEMANDS described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to communicate with others and exchange accurate information operate a computer and other office productivity machinery move about the workplace remain in a stationary position for 75 of the time and extend hands and arms in any direction AAP EEO STATEMENT C W provides equal employment opportunity to all individuals regardless of their race color creed religion gender age sexual orientation national origin disability veteran status or any other characteristic protected by state federal or local law Further the company takes affirmative action to ensure that applicants are employed and employees during employment are treated without regard to any of these characteristics Discrimination of any type will not be tolerated INCO Cushman Wakefield
