Job Description GST Compliance In-Charge (Full-Time Secondment) Location: Outskirts of Chennai, Tamil Nadu Engagement Type: Full-time Secondment (Co-sourced Model) Client: A leading Japanese manufacturing company Experience Level: Minimum 23 years in Indirect Tax (GST Compliance and Audit Support) Compensation: Upto 12 LPA Share your resume at [Confidential Information] About the Role We are seeking a competent GST professional to be deployed on secondment with one of our prestigious Japanese clients in the manufacturing sector. The role will be based at the client's factory near Chennai and will support pan-India GST compliance in collaboration with the client's internal finance and ERP teams, as well as external consultants. Key Responsibilities * Manage end-to-end GST compliance, including monthly return filings for multiple locations (Gurgaon, Delhi, Chennai, and Bengaluru). * Handle GST reconciliations, e-invoice, and e-way bill operations. * Coordinate with external consultants for review of workings, reconciliations, and return submissions. * Liaise with GST officers in Chennai and Bengaluru for audits, assessments, and routine departmental matters. * Prepare or co-review data packs, replies, and documentation for notices, audits, and investigations. * Work closely with internal finance and ERP teams (SAP / Microsoft Dynamics NAV) for data collation, validation, and reporting. * Support process improvement initiatives to strengthen compliance and efficiency. Desired Profile * Qualification: Semi-qualified or qualified CA / CMA, or a graduate/postgraduate in Commerce or Finance. * Experience: Minimum 23 years of relevant experience in GST compliance and audit support. * Strong understanding of GST law, reconciliations, and departmental coordination. * Working knowledge of SAP or Microsoft Dynamics NAV preferred. * Excellent communication, coordination, and documentation skills. * Preference for local candidates from Chennai or nearby regions. * Willingness to work from the client's factory location (Chennai outskirts) and travel occasionally to Bengaluru as required.
