Job Description Technical Lead – Engine Controls & Simulation Location: Pune, India Experience: 5 to 7 Years Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead to lead engine controls and simulation activities. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in engine control systems, GT Suite, and Matlab/Simulink, with a strong ability to develop and implement engine control strategies, modeling, and simulation. This role involves working with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system integration into client vehicles. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the design, development, and implementation of engine control strategies, modeling, and simulation using GT Suite and Matlab/Simulink. - Collaborate with powertrain engineering, calibration, and testing teams for system integration. - Develop and optimize engine control algorithms and models to enhance performance. - Maintain detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and reports. - Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers. - Work with clients to gather requirements and provide technical support. - Stay updated with the latest advancements in engine control systems, GT Suite, and Matlab/Simulink. - Contribute to business development activities, including proposal writing and technical presentations. Mandatory Technical Skills: Candidates must have a strong understanding of engine control systems, including fuel injection, ignition, and emission control systems. Hands-on experience with GT Suite (GT-Power, GT-ISE, GT-Post) and Matlab/Simulink, including model-based design, simulation, and automatic code generation, is essential. Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, and Python is required. The role also demands experience in technical documentation, covering design documents, test plans, and reports. Knowledge of automotive industry standards such as ISO 26262 and ASPICE is necessary, along with expertise in cross-functional collaboration with powertrain, calibration, and testing teams. Familiarity with Siemens Simcenter or equivalent engine control tools is preferred. Additionally, an understanding of machine learning and AI techniques, including neural networks and deep learning, is beneficial. Experience in Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban is also required.
