Job Description Teamware Solutions is seeking a skilled SAP Basis Administrator to ensure the stable and efficient operation of our SAP systems. This crucial role involves working with relevant technologies to maintain system health, ensure smooth operations, and contribute significantly to business objectives through expert analysis, development, implementation, and troubleshooting within the SAP Basis domain. Roles and Responsibilities: - System Installation & Configuration: Install, configure, and maintain various SAP systems (e.g., ECC, S/4HANA, BW, CRM, Solution Manager) across different operating systems (Linux, Windows) and databases (SAP HANA, Oracle, SQL Server). - Performance Monitoring & Tuning: Continuously monitor SAP system performance, identify bottlenecks, and perform tuning activities to optimize system response times and resource utilization. - System Health & Stability: Proactively ensure the high availability, reliability, and security of all SAP landscapes. Perform regular health checks, system audits, and implement preventive measures. - Patching & Upgrades: Plan, schedule, and execute SAP patching (SPS/EHP upgrades), kernel upgrades, and other system maintenance activities. - Backup & Recovery: Implement and manage robust backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions for SAP systems to ensure data integrity and business continuity. - User & Security Management: Manage SAP user accounts, roles, profiles, and authorizations. Implement and enforce SAP security policies. - Transport Management: Administer the SAP Transport Management System (TMS) to ensure smooth and controlled movement of changes across development, quality, and production environments. - Troubleshooting: Provide expert-level troubleshooting and resolution for complex SAP Basis issues, including system errors, performance problems, and connectivity issues. - Automation: Develop and implement scripts or tools for automating routine SAP Basis tasks and monitoring activities. - Collaboration: Work closely with functional teams, developers, infrastructure teams, and other stakeholders to support SAP projects and resolve technical issues. - Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for SAP system landscapes, configurations, and operational procedures. Preferred Candidate Profile: - SAP Basis Expertise: Strong hands-on experience in administering, configuring, and supporting various SAP NetWeaver based systems. - Operating Systems: Proficiency in managing SAP systems on Linux (e.g., Red Hat, SUSE) and/or Windows Server operating systems. - Databases: Experience with at least one major database used with SAP (e.g., SAP HANA, Oracle, SQL Server). - Troubleshooting Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to diagnosing and resolving complex SAP Basis issues. - Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager for monitoring and managing SAP landscapes. - Scripting (Plus): Basic proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Shell Scripting, Python, PowerShell) for automation is an advantage. - Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders. - Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field. Relevant SAP Basis certifications are a plus.
