Job Description Role: QA Analyst Power BI & Data Solutions Location: Hyderabad Experience: 3-7+ Years (depending on seniority) Key Responsibilities - Test Strategy & Planning: Define and implement comprehensive QA strategies and test plans for data pipelines, ETL processes, and Power BI solutions. - Data Validation: Validate data integrity, accuracy, and completeness by writing and executing complex SQL queries against large datasets in source systems and data warehouses. - Report & Dashboard Testing: Perform functional, regression, and performance testing for Power BI reports and dashboards, ensuring data accuracy, correct DAX calculations, and functional parity with business requirements. - ETL & Data Pipeline Testing: Test data transformations and extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to ensure data quality and compliance across all layers. - Collaboration: Work closely with BI developers, data engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand requirements, clarify testing scope, and track defects using tools like JIRA. - Documentation: Develop, document, and maintain comprehensive test cases, test scripts, and test artifacts. - Automation (Good to have): Familiarity with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium) and scripting to streamline regression testing is a plus. - Compliance & Governance: Ensure all solutions comply with data governance standards and regulatory requirements. Required Skills & Qualifications - Technical Expertise: - Strong proficiency in SQL is mandatory for data validation. - Hands-on experience testing Power BI reports, including data visualization, Power Query, and DAX calculations. - Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and relational databases. - Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is beneficial. - Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis (RCA) skills. - Process Knowledge: Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. - Soft Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, global team environment.
