As a Java Tech lead cum trainer, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering engaging, hands-on training programs to upskill individuals in Java development, covering core concepts and modern frameworks, while also assessing and evaluating participant performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Training Content:
- Develop and update training materials, including presentations, labs, assignments, and projects.
- Prepare and upgrade training content based on training objectives.
- Ensure training materials are up-to-date with the latest Java technologies and best practices.
Training Delivery:
- Deliver interactive and engaging training sessions, both in-person and virtually.
- Provide hands-on coding exercises and real-world examples to enhance learning.
- Facilitate discussions and answer questions from participants.
Assessment and Evaluation:
- Observe and evaluate participant performance during training sessions.
- Provide feedback to participants on their progress and areas for improvement.
- Summarize and share training reports.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with fellow trainers, subject matter experts, and instructional designers to enhance the overall training program.
- Leverage learning resources and stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
Other Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update training records.
- Assist with any other tasks assigned by the manager.
Experience:
- Minimum 10+ years of developer experience as a Java Tech lead and experience as a trainer in some capacity.
- Java Topics: Experience with Java development, including core concepts, Functional programming, Reactive programming, Test scenarios, JDBC, Spring in context, RESTful services, Reactive spring, Web flux, Container, Docker, Microservices and Jenkins.
Skills:
- Strong Java programming skills.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to create engaging and interactive training materials.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Certifications (Optional but beneficial):
- Java certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Java Programmer).
Soft Skills:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Passionate about teaching and helping others learn.
