Hiring for Network Engineer- Chennai Key Responsibilities Network Design Implementation Design configure and deploy LAN WAN and wireless networks to ensure high availability and performance Maintenance Troubleshooting Monitor diagnose and resolve network issues to minimize downtime and optimize performance Security Management Implement and manage network security measures such as firewalls VPNs and intrusion detection prevention systems Performance Monitoring Use network monitoring tools to identify bottlenecks potential failures and capacity needs Documentation Maintain up-to-date network diagrams configurations and change logs Collaboration Work with IT DevOps and cybersecurity teams to ensure network reliability and compliance with security policies Vendor Hardware Management Coordinate with vendors for hardware procurement upgrades and support contracts Automation Optimization Automate routine network tasks and optimize configurations for scalability and efficiency Disaster Recovery Develop and maintain network backup and disaster recovery plans Requirements Education Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field or equivalent experience Experience Minimum X years of experience in network engineering administration or related roles Technical Skills Strong knowledge of LAN WAN TCP IP VLANs and routing protocols BGP OSPF EIGRP etc Experience with Cisco Juniper Fortinet or Client network devices Proficiency in firewall configuration and management Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools e g SolarWinds PRTG Nagios Familiarity with VPNs MPLS VoIP and SD-WAN technologies Understanding of network automation tools or scripting languages Python Ansible preferred Knowledge of cloud networking AWS Azure or GCP is a plus Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities Preferred Qualifications Industry certifications such as CCNA CCNP CompTIA Network JNCIA JNCIS or AWS Certified Advanced Networking Experience in network security and compliance ISO 27001 PCI DSS etc Knowledge of software-defined networking SDN and network virtualization VMware NSX Cisco ACI
