Your Team Responsibilities

- OMPD is an MSCI Climate future go to internal platform andcritical data provider for client facing platform usedwhich will be used by:
- MSCI Sustainability researchers develop the Sustainability model as per the latest regulations, industry and marketspecific needs
- MSCI data operations team manages the with Sustainability specific data
- MSCI analysts to work with the mode and data to create, validate and refine Sustainability reports
- External Clients.

Your Key Responsibilities

- Delivering new functionality by writing and shipping high quality code for the OMDP meeting the MSCIrequirements.
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
- Design and implementation of continuous integration and deployment.
- Monitor and optimize application performance.
- Problem solving with alternative approaches and in collaboration with Business Stakeholders, Quality Assurance,Data Operation and IT Infrastructure on all stages of software development life cycle.
- Encourages innovation and best practices
- Following Agile methodology

Your Skills And Experience That Will Help You Excel

- Strong programming skills in Python, with the ability to write clean, efficient, and production-ready code for large-scale data processing.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Spark for distributed data processing, including performance optimization and tuning of Spark jobs.
- Proficiency in using Databricks as a unified analytics platform for building and deploying data pipelines at scale.
- Solid understanding of cloud-based data engineering workflows, with direct experience working on Microsoft Azure (e.g., Data Lake, Azure DevOps, Synapse).
- Practical knowledge of data pipeline orchestration, data transformation, and best practices in managing structured and semi-structured data.
- Exposure to end-to-end data engineering lifecycle, including data ingestion, validation, enrichment, storage, and delivery.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in agile, cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Good To Have

- Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services in a data engineering context.
- Understanding of Kubernetes for containerized deployments and orchestration in cloud environments.
